A great place to live

Jackson has been on the national radar as a fantastic destination location, a place to spend a couple weeks or months before you return to the “real world”. It seems now that what those who live here have known for a while is now seeping into mainstream America. That is that Jackson is an amazing place to call home. An article on the MSNBC website reports that among cities with populations between 10,000 - 50,000, Jackson is #2! (Bozeman Mt. #1). The schools are very good, the local economy strong, very little crime, the cultural scene is growing, and, well, the natural environment is second to none (we'll leave the tax benefits to living in Wyoming alone for now). And, oh by the way, the outdoor recreational opportunities are pretty much endless. It’s not hard to see why the residential real estate has been the most consistent aspect of the real estate market here over the past four years, a steady 15%-20% over that period.

For Yankee fans like myself, the past five days are as good as gets. Wedding day, honeymoon, fantasy football draft, doesn't matter, this is the best. The SS Red Sox is listing and taking on water, fast. Watching Terry Francona come out of the dugout to take Mike Timlin out in the 8th inning of Sundays game was like that scene in Hoosiers when Shooter comes stumbling on to the court, completely wasted, screaming out plays and yelling at the refs. It was hard to watch.
