Friday’s thoughts

Jackson Downtown Snow and TempJackson’s weather is pretty unpredictable this time of year. Today is beautiful-60 degrees, cloudless, and spectacular. Monday, before I left for Salt Lake, I took this picture. Yes, it says 30 degrees. It ended up snowing a couple of inches by morning. It was pretty depressing, but a least it’s not boring.

Speaking of Salt Lake, I spent a couple nights there this week and went to two very nice restaurants. A sushi place that I of course can't remember the name of and a place called The Paris Bistro. And while they were both very good, they were not any better than what we have here Jackson. The amount of excellent restaurants we have here is amazing considering what it was like when I moved here 16 years ago. Locals tend to complain about the prices, but there cheaper than what I had in Salt Lake and every bit as good, if not better. This isn't counting two places that are opening this winter. One by the Rendezvous Bistro/Snake River Grill group opening where the old Vista Grande was in November, and the former chef from Mizu Sushi is opening a new place on North Glenwood in March. Back to the Paris Bistro. If you're in Salt Lake, I'd definitely look this place up. The food’s great, it has a pretty hip atmosphere. and the friendly staff will gladly help you navigate the absolutely ridiculous liquor laws.

The cheapest property available in Jackson is $210,000. It’s a 610 sq. ft. 1br in the Meadowbrook development. By the way, it’s also the only property under $300,000.

A 2500 sq.ft 4br/2.5ba home in Wilson on 2.5 acres sold for $1,665,000 (listed for $1,750,000). It was built in 1986.

Alright, like my beloved Yankees, I'm out
