Roadhouse BBQ

Went to the latest restaurant to open in Jackson last night, the much anticipated “Q” Roadhouse Barbecue. As expected of a restaurant formed by a group from the Rendezvous Bistro and Snake River Grill, the service is exceptional, the building is super cool (the old Vista Grade which you'd never recognize on the inside) and the food is great. Be warned though, it is what is says it is, Southern Barbecue. Not exactly the low fat/low calorie meals that some are looking for. That being said, the ribs were ridiculously good, the pulled pork outstanding, and onion rings were some of the best I've ever had. I can see this place killing it in the summer and a huge hit with the post skiing crowd.

Another place opened where Betty Rock used to be on Pearl St called Kashmans, serving breakfast and lunch. The breakfast is very good, and free coffee refills, even if you take it to go. Love that. Apparently the lunches a great too, but both times I've tried to have lunch there, it’s been too crowded for me to deal with it.

On a side note, am I missing something or is “barbecue” what the South mails in as it’s contribution to world cuisine?

Real Estate:

4br/4ba plus guest apt. 3700 sq. ft. house in Wilson Meadows on a 1.34 acre lot listed for $2,250,000. A little high in my opinion, but you never know in this market.

3br/3ba 3300 sq. ft. Teton Pines Cluster Home with Teton Views listed at $1,950,000 sold for $1,950,000.

The least expensive listing in Teton County (not counting fractional ownerships) is a 2br/1ba 750 sqs. ft. condo in town. $275,000.

A good Thanksgiving to all, I'm out.
