Better tenant than the Gap?

I heard that the Gap, located on one of the best retail corners in Jackson, or anywhere really (NE corner of the Town Square) has decided to pack it up when their lease expires. I don't know who’s going to move in to the space, but if I were the owner of the space, I'd try pretty hard to rework the lease to keep them in there. I'm mean, can there be a better tenant in a place like Jackson, than a company like the GAP?
Took these pictures last night when I got home from work. Seriously, it’s time like this that I can't imagine living anywhere else.
I guess opening weekend at the Village was kind of a bust. I wasn't there (went to Solitude in Utah, which by the way, is pretty cool) but I heard it was cold and with just Apres Vous open, a little limiting. The quality of the snow is good, we just need more. Unfortunately, the 10 day forecast doesn't look so promising right now.
I did hike up Glory Bowl before I drove down to Utah early Sat. AM and the snow was good. About 8″-10″ of light powder. It was cold though. About 3 degrees at 7:30 AM. Here a shot from the top.
Real Estate:
I was talking with a couple “Jackson insiders” this morning and they said they wouldn't be surprised if there was a county moratorium on building soon after the new set of County Commissioners took office. There’s a feeling by some that the interpretation of the the Comp. Plan has gotten so out of whack, that everything needs to be halted so the plan can be rewritten and clarified. That would be interesting.
The listing on Fish Creek Rd. in Wilson that I talked about in my last entry is now under contract. It was listed at $535,000. The cheapest property in Wilson is now $890,000
The least expensive single family home in town is now $479,000. 3br/1ba 1200 sq. ft on .12 acres. It is zoned AR, which allows for multifamily.
One Ton Pig at the Wort Hotel tonight. I'm there.
