East Ridge chair
Finally made it up to the top of the mountain yesterday as the new East Ridge Chair opened for the first time. A few thoughts:
1. It took me 46 minutes from the when I stepped on the Gondola to when I got to the top of Rendezvous Bowl. There was about at 10 minutue line at the East Ridge Chair. I was a popsicle when I finally reached the top. The Sublette/East Ridge combo is tough on cold days, which it was yesterday. That being said, on big inversion/spring days, you could ski it all day, especially since Lynette has moved from the Gondola and her smiling face greets you when you get on. This is a good thing.
There are only about 30 chairs on the whole lift though, so the lines are going to be long.
It’s not a fast lift.
Another new addition is a indoor snack shack at the bottom of the Sublette lift. This rocks. Not only does it give the south side of the mountain a place to warm up, it also has a pretty good selection of lunch/snacks/beer.
Now, we just need more snow…
