Christmas/New Years 2006
It was a great Holiday week in It was a great Holiday week in Jackson. 10″ fell on Christmas eve and another foot or so on 12/27-28 which kept things pretty nice on the mountain. It was also the first real test for crowd management without the the Tram and I thought it was fine. Yes, with lift lines, it takes about an hour to get to the top of Rendezvous Bowl and if it’s cold, the Sublette/East Ridge combo make you feel like you've been dipped in liquid nitrogen, but the crowds at the Gondola and at Thunder were not too bad. And on Saturday 12/30 it was a very busy day, over 6000 skiers and things moved along pretty smoothly.
Apparently the JHMR has pulled the plug on opening the new restaurant at the top of the Gondola this winter. An employee I spoke with who was hired to work there has been told to look elsewhere. They have opened the Deli type restaurant on the bottom of the building and while it looks like a construction zone (which it is) from the outside, it’s kinda cool on the inside with sandwhiches, candy bars, drinks and beers. And plenty of room to spread out. A nice addition.
Real Estate
A 2br/2ba Granite Ridge Cabin, approx. 2200 sq. ft. listed at $2,495,000. It is the only Granite Ridge property listed, although I suspect a few more would be willing to sell at this price.
2br/2ba White Ridge condo, about 700 sq. ft. listed for $725,000. It’s 30 years old, but it’s been kept up well, has underground parking, and is very close to the lifts.
2br+loft /2ba Berrypatch end unit at the Jackson Hole Racquet Club listed for $635,000, under contract.
And from the home office in outer space, a 3br/4.5ba 3440 sq. ft. Four Seasons residence condominium has been listed for $5,100,000. All Four Seasons amenities included in the 50K per year HOA.
Speaking of the Four Seasons, spending the night there tonight, full report will follow. Very excited about that and 1-2 feet expected in the next 48 hours.
Over and out.
