The Last Supper
This is the last time I’ll bring this up, but this is a very interesting piece regarding the final episode of the Sopranos. It makes a strong argument that in fact Tony was eating his final supper. If you think I have too much time on MY hands….
Went up to have lunch at the new Couloir restaurant on Sunday. It’s kind of a cool space, has a nice bar and terrific views but unfortunately there was a half hour wait for our party of six, so we ate at the deli downstairs instead. Two things jumped out at me. The first was the restaurant was only half full (See picture) but there was a half hour wait. The hostess said it was because the kitchen was under staffed and couldn’t keep up if all the seats were full. How much more evidence do we need for everyone to agree there is an acute housing problem in Jackson? There are no employees because not enough people can afford to live here. (Side note: The Housing Authority had 72 applications for ONE house that recently came available for re-sale in Wilson. 72 households applying for one house. Repeat three times.). The second thing was that struck me as a little hard to imagine that the JHMR won’t comp you your $18 dollar gondola ride if you chose to eat lunch. After checking out the menu, with burgers running about $14 a piece and throw in a drink, tip, AND the $18 per person ride up on the Gondola, I figured our group of six would have spent $230-$240. That’s a lot of money for lunch. I found out that they do comp the ride up for dinner, but it’s a fixed price menu, ranging from $55 to $75 p/p not including any wine, beer, etc..
I took this picture on my way to the airport yesterday. I’m not sure if Spring Gulch Rd. is the most beautiful road in America, but it has to be on the short list.
Had dinner at Pica’s Sunday night, got the usual, Chicken Quesadilla with rice and beans for $6.42. Without a doubt the best deal in Jackson. Working under the assumption I would pay anyone $5.00 to do my dishes any night of the week, that means the meal cost me $1.42 and there was no buying the food and no cooking.
Went to San Francisco last weekend with my Dad and brother to catch a couple Yankees/Giants games. If you’re ever in San Francisco and the Giants are playing, you have to. It’s the most beaut
iful ballpark in the country. You'll notice A-Rod is up on the scoreboard in the backround. About 6 seconds after this picture was taken he launched a 430′ bomb to tie the game in the 9th.
Here’s an view from the Gondola of the new Shooting Star golf course.

Jack,
I hear that the Hansen property is under contract for the full asking price of $1.695M. This will make for interesting comparables for Dynia’s new development on www.prughrealestate.com.
Yes, the Hansen property is under contract, although I couldn't get Bomber to tell the the price. Seeing that it went under pretty quickly, I suspect it was awfully close to asking if not full price. crazy.
