Baby Rats- FREE!!
It seems like every week I hear of a few more Real Estate agents leaving Sotheby’s and going to REJH. And we’re not talking part time, three-deals-a-year agents either. For the most part these are high producing agents whose absence will be felt. I'm not really sure why this is happening because the freinds I have who work at Sotheby’s seem pretty happy there.
Apparently the new sushi/global fusion place being built by Chef extraordinaire Jarrett Schwartz et al. on North Glenwood St. is now not going to open until September. Bummer!
I spent the past Friday and Saturday camping in GTNP. Although I see the Park everyday, I really don’t get out there enough. It’s one of the treasures of this country but you need to get a few hours in to it before it really begins to reveal itself.
Had my first Drive in Movie experience last night at the Spud in Victor. I’m ashamed to admit that I’ve been here for 17 years and not been there before. Sitting on the on the tailgate of a truck, having a cold beer and a burger, watching a crappy movie while the sun sets over the Pine Creek pass. Honestly, it was perfect. The whole place is such a throwback in time that I half expected Danny Zuko and Kenickie to roll up next to me. And it’s cheap!

And this was after listening to Greg Brown play a free concert in Driggs as part of the “Thursday Music on Main”, which was a great event in itself. Los Lobos will be playing there in two weeks.
I just couldn't leave this alone.![]()
Real Estate:
There are 536 building lots available in Teton Valley ( not counting Tetonia) in the MLS for under $500,000.
111 of those are listed at Teton Springs Golf course.
Since May 1, 2007 , 136 lots have closed whose list price was $500,000 or less.
The least expensive real estate for sale in Jackson is a 2br/2ba 925 sq. ft. condo with no garage for $512,000 ( This will change when a Jackson Village or Meadowbrook unit comes on).
There are 12 lots in the Jackson area listed for under $700,000. The least expensive is $444,000 for .64 acres located down by Horse Creek Station, 10 miles or so south of town.
If you want to buy a lot in town (50′x150′) zoned for single family you can expect to pay around $520,000. Assuming you build at least a 2000 sq. ft. (not including 2 car garage) house at a minimum of $250 p/ft., you're into the project for a million very quickly.
There were 7 closings in Jackson ftom 7/1/2006-7/13/2006.
There were 20 closings in Jackson from 7/1/2007 - 7/13/2007. I'm not sure exactly what it means but it makes me think things are not slowing down .
I'm out.
