Am I really going to have put up with Red Sox’s caps all Winter??
18” of snow in the mountains last week and sure enough people were skiing the crap out of the South side of the Pass on Saturday and Sunday. I understand the excitement but it’s a really good way to end you’re season before it even begins.
Looks like coal and gas are not the only energy Wyoming is trying to export.
For the life of me I can’t understand how a fringe group like Save Historic Jackson Hole, made up of only a handful of people who refuse to divulge their identity, continues to get a considerable voice in the paper. It shows what a lot of time and money gets you.
Spent last weekend in Las Vegas. If you get a chance to see the new Cirque de Soliel “Love” do not pass it up. The show is jaw dropping.
The proposed development “Teton Meadows”, located down by Melody Ranch is in for a big fight. And while I think it may be a little big, I have no idea why the Town of Jackson is offering an opinion. IT’S A COUNTY PROJECT!
Brett McPeak is leaving the Snake River Sporting Club and going back to Sotheby’s. This is a huge coup for Sotheby’s. It reminds me of the Yankees picking up Paul O’Neil. Unannounced with no fanfare, but they won 4 World Series with him and haven’t won any since he left.
It also tells me the Snake River Sporting Club may be reorganizing.
From my friend Ari G. :
Two boys are playing hockey on the pond on Boston Common, when one is
attacked by a vicious Rottweiler. Thinking quickly, the other boy took his
hockey stick and managed to wedge it down the dog’s collar and twist,
luckily breaking the dog’s neck and stopping its attack.
A reporter who was strolling by sees the incident, and rushes over to
interview the boy.
“Young Bruins Fan Saves friend from Vicious Animal…” he starts writing in
his notebook.
“But, I'm not a Bruins Fan,” the little hero replied. “Sorry, since we're in
Boston, I just assumed you were,” said the reporter and starts again. “Red Sox Fan
Rescues Friend from Horrific attack…” he continued writing in his
notebook.
“I'm not a Red Sox fan either!” The boy said. “I assumed everyone in Boston
was either for the Bruins or the Red Sox. So, what team do you root for?”
the reporter asked.
“I'm a Yankees fan!” the child beamed. The reporter starts a new sheet in
his notebook and writes:
“Little Bastard from New York Kills Beloved Family Pet.”

A half-hearted GO ROCKIES. I think we can mail this one in.

Jack:
I cannot agree with you more about SHJH. It confounds me that no one asks who these folks are and how they have some sort of exclusive philosophical conduit to what, exactly, historic Jackson Hole is or ought to be.
You were right about the Rockies, too.
