State Champs!
In the blink of an eye, the Jackson Bronc football season came down to a 75 yard foot race to the corner of the end zone. And in the end, #25 was just a little faster than #2. The play that Logan Carter made seems to have been lost in all the celebration of the last minute goal line stand at the end of the Broncs 10-6 win over Buffalo, but it really was the single play that saved the game. Because he was coming from the far side of the field, not only did he have to run farther, thus faster, he had one chance to take the proper angle, and he did. Really a spectacular play. If he misses, there is no goal line stand and Bison’s have a much happier bus ride home. Which, in case you haven't looked at a Wyoming map lately, was a long one. About like taking a school bus from Boston, to say, Washington DC. All in all it was a great day for Teton County and the Jackson linemen showed me what they were made of by not being intimindated by a team from Buffalo that had seriously some big boys up front ( 5′10″ 275, 6′7″ 292, 6′ 314 to name a few). I'm not sure what they're feeding them over there on East side of the Big Holes, but I suspect it’s not tofu burgers and sprouts.
It should be noted though that we probably haven't seen the last of this Buffalo squad. Two of the three of those big fella’s are coming back for another year, as are their two best offensive palyers, the quarterback (#2) and running back (#1).
Osprey Creek (Village Road KOA) goes in front of the Board of County Commissioners tomorrow and there is a pretty good chance they'll vote on it. Everyone seems pretty tight lipped on how this one will shake out. The meeting is at 9:30 am at the BCC Chambers. This will probably be a good one to attend if you can make it.
This is an interesting story about a new ski area in the Salt Lake area. And the latest word is that with the latest storm coming through, Alta may open Thursday 11/15. That may be optimistic.
Looks like Uncle Mitt will be trying to sell his wares to Wyoming this month.
Rock on Jackson Bronco’s!

Hey Jack- So Osprey Creek was shut down, huh? I thought the scope of the plan coincided well with the fact the Village Road will become a four lane highway at some point. Do you know if the developer has to wait a year to re-submit another proposal for this parcel or is it specific to the property? If he sold the lot to another suitor could they immediately try to redevelop or do they need to wait it out till next year?
I never like Claude Lemieux- total scumbag on the ice. I remember when he high sticked Cam Neely and got a well deserved beat down at the Garden. Here’s to Ron Francis and the true heroes of the NHL.
As for baseball…Scott Boras=The Devil.
