Here is a very telling article from CNN showing that very high end real estate is still thriving despite the recent credit crunch.

 

If you're a sports junkie like me, this is the best highlight reel… EVER.  It reminds me of what is still great about the games.

 

Look at this photo if you don't think there are early season avalanches.  This was taken at Teton Village on December 6, when settled snow at 9500′ was only 40″ or so.

 

 

 

Spent a couple hours skiing yeaterday ands with almost 4 feet of snow this week, it’s safe to say skiing is very very good and the season it officialy underway.

 

Jamie Lynn, Britney’s younger but not necessarily smarter sister is now pregnant at age 16.  This puts the good people at Nickelodeon in a bit of a pickle seeing that the character she plays on their on their show is 12 and I'm not so sure their advertisers want the twelve year old characters having babies.  And in a related story, feeling that Jamie Lynn is on a collision course to follow the the steps of her complete train wreck sister Britney, their Mom’s  (Lynne Spears) book about parenting has been put on ice.  Seriously, you can't make this stuff up.

 

I'm not sure if this is true but the word now is that the cost of the new Tram at Teton Village is already at $30 Million, $5 Million more than they planned last year.  And that little voice tells me that number will continue to go up.   I also heard that the plan to demo the Village Center Building at the end of the season may be postponed for a year.  For those of us who have ski lockers there, this is the best Christmas Present we could ask for.

 

Went back to Blu Kitchen on Tuesday night for the first time in a while.  SO GOOD. 

 

If you get a chance, check out the torchlight parade from the top of Apres Vous on New Years Eve.  It sounds hokey, but it’s actually pretty cool.

Speaking of which, I've never been a big New Years Eve Party guy, much less spending it at the Mangy Moose, but the most fun band in Wyoming, Mandatory Air, is playing there on 12/31.  It might be a ton of fun.  Get your tickets soon.
