The past week or so at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort was almost as good as it gets.  The combination of over 4 feet of snow and no crowds made it awfully special for those who were able to skip work or arrive here early.  The chaos should begin tomorrow.

Here is a shot of a slide that was triggered by the JH Ski patrol in the Expert Chutes.  The scary thing is that people were skiing that area the day before.

I also have this sick feeling that we're going to see some big avalanches in the backsountry very soon.  I have no idea why I think that.  Just my gut.

 

 

 

 

I took these two shots in Downtown Wilson on Christmas morning.  The full moon setting to the West and the sun rising in the East made for an awfully pretty morning

 

 

 

 

 

It looks as though Save Historic Jackson Hole is up to their old tricks by announcing the results of a survey that they wrote the questions for.  These guys are worse that the “Swift Boat” group.  They seem to be laying the ground work for a full frontal assault on the Teton Meadows proposal located South of Town near Melody Ranch.  I believe it goes in front of the County Commissioners January 28, 2008. 

 

I know a lot of people were stuck in airports on Christmas Eve, and I'm sure that was no fun.  But just be glad you we're not this poor fellow.

 

Real Estate:

 

.28 acres in the lodging overlay with four 2br/1ba units on it listed for $1,600,000, under contract almost immediatly.

 

3br/3ba 1800 sq. ft. Love Ridge condo (Base of Snow King), built in 2007, listed for $1,850,000.

 

There are 11 things for sale in Teton Village for under $1,000,000, none are larger than 2br/2ba 1000 sq. ft. (this does not include the fractional ownership units).

 

There are 35 listings for over $1,000,000 in Teton Village.
