The Winds of Change
![]()
Played the new Shooting Star course last week and it’s pretty spectacular. I don't play enough to offer a technical opinion of the course but I can say it’s visually stunning and very difficult when it needs to be. It’s hard to believe that 3 years ago it was a cow pasture! There are 5 tee boxes for each hole which makes it suitable to all levels of play, with the Championship Tee’s being ridiculously long. The wind was blowing quite hard, which I took as a signal that I was witnessing a monumental change at Teton Village. Six Years ago the Four Seasons opened it’s doors and radically transformed Teton Village forever. I really think we will look back on the opening of Shooting Star and say the same thing, especially if the Teton Village Hotels get some Tee Times, which apparently they are in negotiations for right now. With world class golf available, Teton Village finally becomes the year round, destination resort, which it has be striving to be for many, many, many years.

Right before the 4th, My Dad and I went went for a ride out through Kelly and then to the new bike path in the park and finally on to Dornan’s. The new bike path is great but it can't match the Antelope Flats road in Kelly. The occasional road hazard is a welcome part of the deal.

If you combine the vacant lots and houses listed for sale at 3 Creek in the MLS, the number is 34. And I'm sure a few more that are not listed but would definitely sell. There might be some opportunities there.
Heading to NYC and will spend Friday night at the “Death Star”, what my sad sack Red Sox fan friends call the “House that Jeter Built”.
