Weather wise, this has been the best September in recent memory. Every day seems to be the same. Cool mornings, cloudless skies and highs reaching the mid 70’s to low 80’s. Combined with the lack of crowds, this may be the best time year to be here.
Spent a couple days up in Yellowstone and Montana, and it never gets old. Once you get past some of the traffic, it’s really one of the most amazing places in this country. If you haven't been, go. If you have, go again. Here’s one of the fish we caught on the Yellowstone River, just North of the park.
Speaking of fishing, this isn't such a bad way to have lunch during a great day of fishing with Grand Fishing Adventures.
I miss Omar, Jimmy, Marlow and the rest of the folks on The Wire. I really, really do.
Apparently the Davies-Reid Building, formally Jackson Drug located on maybe the busiest corner of the Town Square, has gone under contract to a local businessman. No word on the price but it was listed for $6,300,000.

Lastly,as hard as it is for me to believe, tomorrow, September 23, is Bruce Springsteen’s 60th birthday. His songs have been the backround music for most of my life and his constant message of hope and freedom resonates as much today as it did 35 years ago, when this song was written. The staying power evidenced again when he played it last year as a tribute to Tim Russert.
And if you haven't seen him live, do yourself a favor and buy a ticket. You will not regret it. I promise.
