Yesterday I did what people in Jackson have to do if they want to see big name bands and I drove down to Salt Lake City to see Pearl Jam. A great show. However I didn't expect it to be engagement party.Here’s a quick video from the 5th row.
Looks like our run of unbelievable weather came to an abrupt halt today. Rain and 43 degrees in the Valley, 3-7″ of snow expected mountains.

Having had the good fortune of being able to ski (read: tag along) a few times with Jimmy Zell back in early ’90’s, I can tell you, with some certainty, that he was one of the very best. As smooth as you'll ever see and completely understated. Along with Doug Coombs, Jon Hunt and a few others, they put Jackson on the map as the place to be for Big Mountain skiing in the U.S. (see: Swift, Silent, Deep) and helped usher in the “Extreme Skiing” era which seems so commonplace these days. Jimmy has been dealt a pretty tough hand and now faces his biggest challenge yet. If you're free on Saturday, head down to Goatstock at Red Top to help with his mounting medical bills. There will be auction items and great music all day (Mandatory Air and others).
