Sex, Lies and Video Tape

So it turns out Bernie was a little better at real estate than he was at staying out of jail.
“Just last month, Bernie’s Long Island beach “cottage” went. The four-bedroom, three-bath, 3,000-square-foot home, which Madoff bought for a mere $250,000 back in 1980, fetched $9.41 million,well above the $8.75 million asking price.
The sales of his Manhattan penthouse and Palm Beach place have not gone as well. Not only has neither been sold, the asking prices have been slashed by a cool million, to $8.9 million, for the co-op, and by more than $500,000, to $7.9 million, for the Palm Beach house.“- CNN.com
It’s rare that you get a see someones career dissolve right in front of your eyes as self proclaimed spokesperson for the womens conservative right Carrie Prejean’s did last week on Larry King. This interview, combined with her leaked sex tape and her infamous answer at the Miss USA contest should probably tell her that video may not be her best medium for advancing her career.
Speaking of people who really, really, need to just stop talking...
In honor of the legendary Doug Coombs being elected to the skiing hall of fame, David Gonzalez of the Snaz sent out this video form 2005 of Doug and a couple others skiing the Grand. It’s very good.
Real Estate:
The least expensive full ownership property listed for sale in Teton Village is a 2br/1ba 800 sq. ft. condo in the Ten Sleep building being offered at $360,000. That being said, I'm pretty sure you can find someone who would sell for less.
There are 64 properties currently listed in Teton Village for more than $1,000,000. That doesn't count many properties in the second phase of Hotel Terra which have not closed yet, but I'm certain many of those holding contracts would be happy to sell.
The first 4 Cabins at Shooting Star that were scheduled to close, did so on time. There are about 11 more to go and they're all pretty much between $4,000,000 and $5,000,000, give or take a little.
